A couple of years ago I became a vegan so I can no longer use many of the products I used to use in the past. This ways my options in many of the categories of shaving products, are somewhat limited.

In the later shave department there is of class Speick ASL and Proraso ASL both of which are vegan. Simply since I have a Body Shop in my area, I am also looking at their 'Maca Root & Aloe Post-Shave Water-Gel For Men'. Is anyone of you lot familiar with this production? Since it is called 'h2o-gel', I am having a hard fourth dimension figuring out what to expect. Anyone used it before?

I accept it and have used it for some time.
A mild cooling issue but mainly it feels like it's really nourishing and expert for the skin.
As "free of bad additives" as they come.

Use information technology mainly when I feel like I have gone at it too difficult or when I need something gentle to actually replenish the skin.

The "water gel" consistency makes it like shooting fish in a barrel to apply and is absorbed duly.

The foam (same series) makes a good soap existent quick and shares the "this is good for you" characteristics.

Every bit "gratuitous of bad additives" equally they come.

What should I expect this 'h2o-gel' to be? Is a balm type of production or more like balm?

More like a balm I would say.
A "watery gellike" lotion. :)

What beast production is in Nivea asb?
I would non know only I simply don't trust it as long as haven't got a clear indication that it is vegan. Only looking up the ingredients does not tell the whole story since some ingredients could still exist from an brute source fifty-fifty if there is a institute based equivalent. Take for example glycerine. All of this makes me cautious and for this reason I just use products that are confirmed vegan products. For example Proraso.

Am not 100% sure but I don't employ them because I just don't know and information technology would exist hard to observe out based on ingredients alone. Since both Tabac and Nivea are made in Europe by European companies, at least when bought in the EU, they cannot have been tested on animals since Eu-broad legislation does non allow this. This police has been in place since I believe 2009 or so. In the EU, every bit far as fauna testing is concerned, y'all can be safe whether a product is vegan or not.

Is it possible that a product like Tabac, which has been in production since the 1950s, was originally tested on animals? Assuming the product has non changed formula and and then been retested without using animals then I do non see how such a product could ever claim to exist vegan regardless of where it is made or of any current European union regulations. This is not specific to Tabac, which I dearest and use all the fourth dimension.

Is it possible that a production like Tabac, which has been in product since the 1950s, was originally tested on animals? Bold the product has not changed formula and so been retested without using animals and so I do not come across how such a product could e'er claim to exist vegan regardless of where it is made or of whatsoever electric current Eu regulations. This is not specific to Tabac, which I love and use all the fourth dimension.
I become what you're saying. In my opinion notwithstanding, such a product could exist regarded as vegan as long as the electric current version does not comprise any brute derived ingredients (manifestly). And even if the original formula was tested on animals in say the 1950's, to me the electric current version could still exist regarded every bit vegan if its producer no longer does any sort of animal testing. This would basically hateful that whatsoever electric current batch of the product, would not accept been tested on animals and would not comprise any brute derived ingredients. That any company used to test on animals in past times, is a sad thing merely if they don't do this any longer, to me such a production would be vegan. Like I said, I practice sympathize what you're saying, but this would basically mean that even the most upstanding product ever fabricated -whatever this may be-, could not exist bought because care for animals and the environment in full general, is very much a thing of say the concluding two to iii decades. This would basically mean I could non buy an all electric car fabricated by a company that used to make cars powered past fossil fuels. Merely again, I get your point.

I have both and employ them on occasion. I don't recollect I would purchase the shave cream again. It'southward ok. Scent is then-then as is the functioning IMO. I haven't used it in a while so perchance a re-visit is in order.

The aloe based water gel is nice, smells fresh, and doesn't brand your peel dry or mucilaginous.
