I was unaware of that but thanks for the tip. All I know is the one I have was a gift for Christmas 2013 and I love it. A picayune does get a long way but at that toll, I doubt I'll ever replace this once it'south gone.

I but contacted AOS via their " customer intendance " (LOL) phone number in gild to ostend this and I was informed that they could not help me unless it was purchased at a AOS store or the website . This is a genuine AOS production that was purchased from a department store , and then it actually shouldn't matter. I observe this to exist unacceptable and won't exist patronizing AOS anymore. Only what should one expect from a Proctor & Gamble company that owns Gillette and Fusion ?
Consider yourselves warned !

I don't understand this at all. They have resellers all over the place that are legitimate businesses. They are acting like you lot found somevery former stock at a TJ Maxx or a Marshall's.

Ouch! What exactly happened? I am assuming that you purchased it from a department store and you were non happy with the performance. If that is the case then definitely try to return it to the store y'all purchased it from.
Back to your original question, I like the AoS balm only it is non very high on the value meter for me. Information technology performs well only non better than many other lower costing balms --- Nivea Sensitive, Proraso ASL/ASB, RazoRock ASL/ASM, etc.

Become an unscented balm and put on a spray or 2 of the AOS Sandalwood cologne. The stuff is amazing.

I agree that they should stand backside their product regardless of where it is purchased - Nordstrom in this case. Anyway, I take never really cared for the company. I much more prefer dealing with the dainty lady that owns this visitor : http://www.mystic4men.com/

I may render it to Nordstrom and so. Thanks. And I can't use Nivea Sensitive as that stuff causes a rash and itching on my neck. I may go back to using Lab Series Razor Burn Relief fifty-fifty though they have likewise inverse their formula.

At the start, AoS was hard to beat as far as being a 1-cease brick and mortar store where you could run across, touch, and measure out things earlier buying. Still, at the high prices they charge for what many members say are watered-down or inconsistent products, I go on with Musikmann and I will non be restocking. I already have Bigelow in rotation for when the AoS Lavender foam runs out. It lathers just as well if non improve. I also have Old Spice cream, the original Shulton Formula shipped from India, on reserve. Ii Indian Os AS balms are in shipment. For 1 of my road kits, I use Shave Secret as a prep oil in identify of AoS Lavender oil. Works only as well. I may become some American Crew for dwelling house. Brio1's feel is i of dealing with a company - or in this example a P&G division - that does not understand the value of turning around the experiences of unhappy customers. I tin also hold with his indicate about AoS being under the P&G umbrella. Gillette is a major profit eye for P&G, and in brusque-sightedness they would want to sell more than Fusion consumables to recoup the hundreds of millions in development costs, and would care much less if AoS died on the vine. Fusion every bit a supermarket pick, and AoS equally a go-to place for retro products, are in directly conflict. If the suits at P&G idea smartly, they would understand AoS' marketplace and would treat it well, seeing how much stuff we purchase in the form of "saving coin" on traditional shaving. We only don't spend it on their pricey cartridges is all. If I deplete the AoS products and find that I miss them, I can always go back, pay the high price, and get some more. It's non every bit if nosotros never overstock ourselves around here.

As a shop/company I volition never defend them equally I to experience AOS is overpriced. I sympathise they take higher overhead due to the multitude of brick and mortar stores around the nation but still seem quite overpriced. I had warned my married woman never to buy anything at AOS because they were overpriced but all the same she surprised me with a Christmas gift this year from our local AOS located in the mall. She got me the sandalwood cream, balm, pre-shave oil, and a silver tip brush. I must say the sandalwood cream is an amazing odour! Plain this is very subjective only information technology actually is simply an amazing sandalwood production. for a flake of reference I use TOBS sandalwood foam and bask it very much, I would say TOBS is a chip spicier of a scent if that makes sense. I also employ Proraso sandalwood cream and lather, the Proraso is my least favorite sandalwood scent. I have probably used 6 different brands of sandalwood creams or soaps and by far the AOS is the best…BY FAR!!! Across just the aroma information technology is a nice cream in its own correct, although the scent is what makes me reach for this one. Too, the brush my wife got me from AOS is amazing, but I understand Muhle currently makes these for AOS so this isn't actually a surprise. The post shave lotion has the same wonderful scent in sandalwood. I am non a fan of pre shave oils and then I really haven't given the one she bought me a fair shake. Anyway, I hope I didn't get too far off topic, but wanted to share what a great odour the AOS sandalwood is. I do agree the store and company are a joke, although I appreciate the fact that they probably lure several thousand gentleman to our moisture shaving earth that otherwise would never have establish u.s.a..

I wouldn't knock TJ Maxx or Marshall's. I've read of members finding AOS tallow soaps. I don't take the patience to shop but that would be a sweet score .
